Our state, counties, and municipalities offer wonderful places for us to experience physical activity outdoors. These are spaces where children can play, wander, and imagine, and adults young and old can appreciate the great outdoors while staying fit and healthy. Here at KMM, we have a host of programming geared to biking and walking. To learn more about each program, please email us at programs@kmm.org.

May is Bike Month!
Bike to Work Week is an annual event hosted by organizations around the US. According to The League of American Bicyclists, 40% of all trips in the U.S. are less than two miles, making bicycling a feasible and fun way to get to work. With an increased interest in healthy, sustainable and economic transportation options, it’s not surprising that, from 2000 to 2013, the number of bicycle commuters in the U.S. grew by more than 62 percent.
At KMM, we can support and encourage you to give your bike a try. Details for our 2021 Bike Month will be posted soon! Featured below is our 2020 Bike Month Promotion.
New Brunswick Ciclovia
A free, citywide initiative that closes the streets to cars and opens them to people – promotes healthy active living through experiencing New Brunswick’s vitality, livability, and diversity in a safe place for people to exercise and play.
During Ciclovia, the streets become temporarily car-free for 5 hours for families to run, walk, skate, ride bikes, enjoy active events along the route, and explore the city streets.
