Are you passionate about safe streets, sustainable transportation, and helping communities thrive? Keep Middlesex Moving (KMM) is looking for a dynamic Program Coordinator to lead innovative community programs and inspire the next generation of safe, active travelers. In this role, you’ll blend creativity with community engagement, working with schools, municipalities, and partners to make walking, biking, and commuting safer and smarter for everyone.
About KMM
Keep Middlesex Moving (KMM) is a nonprofit transportation management association dedicated to improving mobility, safety, and sustainability in Middlesex County. We work with schools, municipalities, employers, and community groups to promote smart travel choices, reduce traffic congestion, and make our streets safer for everyone.
About the Role
KMM is seeking an energetic, creative, and community-focused Program Coordinator to develop, promote, and deliver programs that encourage sustainable transportation, commuter options, and safe travel for all ages. This position primarily supports community outreach and Safe Routes to School programs, working with schools, municipalities, and community partners across Middlesex County. The role requires availability for evening and weekend events, meetings, and outreach activities.
What You’ll Do
- Support, plan and deliver bicycle/pedestrian safety presentations for grades K–12, community groups, and the public.
- Organize and support KMM sponsored events and community partner programs.
- Conduct outreach on traffic safety topics including distracted driving, older adult mobility, and child passenger safety.
- Conduct outreach to Middlesex County based commuters and employers.
- Represent KMM at events, fairs, and stakeholder meetings.
- Support grant management through reporting, data collection, and program evaluation.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication & presentation skills; Comfortable working with people of all ages and backgrounds.
- Creative problem-solving and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual meeting tools.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, ability to lift 25 lbs., and walk up to 1 mile.
- Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
Preferred Skills
- Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator,Creative Suite, Canva.
