That can make it harder for aging or ill loved ones to make doctor’s appointments, shop for necessities, visit family or attend social events. Middlesex County RIDE
(Formerly Middlesex County Area Transit- MCAT)

Middlesex County RIDE offers three services:
1. RIDE Routes – A community shuttle program providing scheduled routes that do not require advance reservation and are available to the public. Shuttles feed into other accessible bus and rail fixed-route transportation services.

2. RIDE Reservations – A reservation-based transportation service for persons 60 years of age and older and to persons with disabilities age 18 years and older. Fare: $3 one way, $6 round trip.
3. RIDE On Demand – Currently serving the greater New Brunswick area and part of North Brunswick, this service allows users to book rides through the Middlesex County RIDE On Demand app, available in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Fare: $3 per person one way.
NJ TRANSIT 
NJ TRANSIT provides affordable and convenient transportation throughout Middlesex County and the region, as well as routes to New York and Pennsylvania. All NJ TRANSIT buses and many NJ TRANSIT train stations are fully ADA Accessible.

Reduced Fare Program
NJ TRANSIT offers a reduced fare program for those 62 years and over, persons with diabilities, and military personnel. Eligible individuals can save 50% or more on treain, bus, and light rail trips. To sign up, visit Reduced Fare Program here, or call 973-491-7112.

EZ Ryde4Life, On-Demand Transportation Services
EZ Ryde4Life is a membership-based program. Currently, the program is available to New Jersey Residents only. Riders fill out a registration form and establish a transportation account using a credit or debit card. Once that’s setup, rides can be scheduled in real time. It’s as easy to register, reserve, and ride.
