Keep Middlesex Moving Unveils Countywide Mobility Guide to Improve Transportation Access and Independence
One-stop guide connects Middlesex County residents to public transit, specialized transportation, and mobility assistance programs
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – September 21, 2026 – Keep Middlesex Moving (KMM) has launched a comprehensive Mobility Guide designed to help residents easily find and use transportation services throughout Middlesex County and beyond. The free resource brings together public transit, community transportation, healthcare transportation, commuter services, and accessibility programs in one convenient location, making it easier for residents to connect with jobs, healthcare, education, and everyday destinations.
Recognizing that transportation access plays a critical role in quality of life, employment, healthcare access, and community engagement, KMM developed the guide as a practical resource for residents seeking reliable transportation options. Residents can easily find available transit in their municipality, alongside routes to popular local destinations. To ensure equitable access for everyone, the guide focuses heavily on building transit literacy and bridging accessibility gaps by including resources related to:
- Trip Planning and Transit Basics – Understanding schedules, fares, transfers, and bicycle policies.
- Commuter and Regional Transit – NJ TRANSIT, private carriers, and park-and-ride facilities.
- Specialized Transportation Services – Access Link, Middlesex County RIDE, and other assistance programs.
- Municipal Transportation Programs – Local transportation services for older adults and residents with disabilities.
- Healthcare Transportation – Options for reaching medical appointments and healthcare facilities.
- Low-Income Mobility Programs – Reduced fare programs and Medicaid transportation resources.
